Summertime…

…and the livin’ is easy…

Now that I’ve planted that delightfully sultry ear worm, I thought I’d share my latest summer accessory.

Featuring the very best that summer brings (cocktails, flip-flops and the bright, happy sun), Sun-Kissed is an adorable charm necklace that’ll work with everything in your summer wardrobe.

Weezie World on the road (with a new contest!)

Next Sunday, March 17 (St. Patty’s Day!), I’ll be showcasing my wares at the Spring Has Sprung Craft & Gift Sale in Elmira, Ontario – north of Waterloo.

The event gets under way at 11am and runs until 3pm (so you’ll still have plenty of time to get to your favourite Irish Pub afterwards and celebrate the day!) There will be 40 vendors selling everything from clothing, candy, and candles to pet treats, baby stuff, and jewellery (hey, that’s me!) And, for the kiddies, the Easter Bunny will be dropping by between 11:30 and 1:30.

In honour of the day and my heritage, I will be giving away this one-of-a-kind Emerald Mist jewellery set:

All you have to do is drop by the Weezie World booth, sign up for the Weezie World eNews and drop your ballot in the box. After the show, I’ll draw a name at random, and one lucky winner will have this necklace & earring set mailed to his or her door!

Hope to see you there! Sláinte!

Math is Pretty!

It’s true. While the inherent beauty of a mathematical equation isn’t exactly something I spend a whole lot of time pondering, it is there.

Take, for example, the one discovered by German mathematician, August Ferdinand Möbius, that gives us the Mobius Strip (or Mobius Band.)  The definition, itself, is pretty simple to comprehend (a non-orientable two-dimensional surface with only one side when embedded in three-dimensional Euclidean space.) The mathematical equation that explains it, though? Not so much (not to me, in any event.)

The aesthetic of the Mobius strip, however, is something everyone can appreciate – particularly when it’s the form of something shiny!

This weekend I was fiddling around with some simple chain mail and came up with these simple and elegant pretties.

And they have some equally lovely counterparts in the way of earrings, too!

They’ll be added to the Weezie World store shortly. So, if you’re interested, pop by a bit later in the week!

Have a great Monday!
