East Gwillimbury Farmers Market: Grand Opening TOMORROW!

LX & I will be up bright & (stupid) early tomorrow morning to participate in the 2013 Grand Opening of the East Gwillimbury Farmers Market.

If the forecast (and this week’s weather) is anything to go by, it’s going to be an absolutely glorious day: 20° (for my US pals, that’s 68°) and sunny! The market is open from 8am until 1pm and promises to have a little something for everyone (I’m looking forward to some tasty, fresh produce!)

I’ll have some brand-new items on display at special Market Day prices, including some $6.50 (2 for $10) earrings, beautiful $5 beaded/metal bookmarks, gorgeous $10 blown-glass pendant necklaces, and heaps more! Here’s a sneak peek at some of it… but you’ll have to come out tomorrow morning to see all my new goodies!

And, if you needed more incentive, the EG Farmers Market will be giving away lovely wee pansies to the first 100 customers!

For those of you unfamiliar with the Market, it’s super easy to find – it’s just north of Newmarket on Leslie Street (in fact, you could head straight up Leslie from the downtown core if it’s early enough; otherwise the DVP/404 might be a better option.)

Weezie World on the Road (again!)

This summer is already shaping up to be a busy one in Weezie World. I’ve got four more events to tell you about (with a few that may end up being recurring ones!)

Mixed Blessings Spring Craft Show • • •

Saturday, April 27 | 10 am – 4pm
3294 St. Paul’s Crescent | Barrie, ON

This event is being held at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church (at the corner of Yonge & Mapleview) in Barrie. Entrance to the sale is $2, with all proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. And each person who enters will be given a ballot for a cash draw – with a new winner announced each hour! (more info)

Saturday, May 4 | 8am – 1pm
19000 Leslie Street | Sharon, ON

Come out for the opening day of the 2013 season. There’s lots of free parking, and the first 100 people there will receive a free plant! (more info)

Dufferin-Orfus Sunday Market • • •

Sunday, May 12 & 26 | 9am – 5pm
3300 Dufferin St. | Toronto, ON

This exciting new location got its start last year and promises to be in full swing this summer. It’s in the Katz Deli parking lot, right near the Orfus Road outlets and Yorkdale Mall. It’s easily accessible from the 401, or – if you’re downtown – you can hop on the TTC and the 29 Dufferin Bus will take you right there. Come by and say hello!
