I’m Still Here

I’m still making with the shiny.  I just don’t update this blog often.

If, on the off chance you’re interested in some of my other creative endeavors,  I invite you to check out my slightly more loquacious alter ego/nom de plume’s home on the interwebs HERE. [Warning: I do tend to post about fellow authors’ books on that blog and the content can oftentimes get a bit NSFW.]

In the meantime, enjoy some Sondheim as sung by the incomparable Elaine Stritch…

Welcome to the NEW Weezie World!

That’s right, Weezie World is back!

Not that I actually went anywhere. Not really.  As you may (or may not) have noticed, Weezie World took a bit of a hiatus. Okay, so my last blog post was in 2015, but who’s keeping track?

I no longer have a storefront on Storenvy or Etsy (for a multitude of reasons) and have brought everything into one shiny, new website. There are fewer product listings right now, but that’s only temporary… I have a lot of exciting things planned!

So, what have I been up to during all that time? Well, most recently, I took a trip across the United States. More accurately, drove over 7,000 km in 9 days to see the total solar eclipse that happened in August. I won’t lie – it was worth every single kilometre. Even the ones when I desperately needed to pee and there was nary a stop in sight. If you’re interested, I have a slightly more detailed post on my other blog where you can check out photos and video footage.

Oh yeah, my other blog…

It seems I have a bit of a talent for the written word (or, at least, my publishers think so.) And I’ve been writing fiction. Sexy fiction. Like, really sexy. I welcome you to check it out, but if you prefer your kissing books on the more demure side of things,  you might want to give it a miss. For the rest of you, feel free to pop on over to my alter ego’s website: ldblakeley.com.

In the meantime, stay tuned for more updates (I promise, they’ll be more frequent than every two years or so!)

Weezie World’s NOT Black Friday Sale!

That’s right, I’ve just updated my online store with close to 100 new items (with more still to come!) and thought it was the perfect time for a sale. I mean, hey, I’m Canadian – Black Friday isn’t technically a thing here anyway, so why wait!

Not only has my store had a facelift, it’s got quite a few new items, including kids jewellery, hair bling, and knitting accessories.

I’m offering a Buy one, get one FREE promotion from now until December 11 (the date Canada Post has chosen as their ‘if you don’t mail your stuff by today, your gifts won’t arrive in time for Christmas’ deadline.) The promotion is good for everything in my store, too, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on some shiny stocking stuffers!

And if you happen to be nearby and would like to save the shipping fee, I’ve added a Local Pickup option. Just choose it upon checkout and you’re welcome to drop by and pick up your order if you’re in my neighbourhood. Or if we haven’t seen each other in a while and you want to grab coffee (or a cheeky glass of red), let me know and we can make a date – I’ll bring your order along with me 🙂

Tell your friends! And drop by often for new additions!

Who’s Heading to Kempefest 2015?

I know I am! So I hope you’ll drop by and say hello. 🙂

This year is the 45th edition of the annual event and it promises to be an awesome weekend. There are going to be over 350 exhibitors and vendors this year, so make sure you give yourself lots of time to wander the waterfront!

Conveniently, enough, I’ll be in the same spot as last year: Booth #358

This is last year’s map, incidentally. And while it’s accurate as far as where I’ll be located, some of the other booth numbers might be different. So, if you’re looking for someone else’s booth, you should probably check out this year’s map to be on the safe side.

I’ve got more shiny than you can shake a stick at this year (though I’m not certain why you would want to in the first place) so come by and have a look!

We’re there Saturday, Sunday, and Monday – hope to see you there!
